Why Book us to photograph the most important day of your life?
This is a very good question and one we can answer by showing what other couples have thought of what we have acheived in our testimonials page and by showing you this list of what we think you should consider before making one of the most important decisions in your wedding photography. A lot of text but well worth a read as it will help all couples whether or not they choose us.

THE 'GOOD CAMERA TRAP'. This is one of the easiest and most common traps to fall into. We often hear couples say words to the effect, "One of our friends has a really good camera so he is going to do our wedding photography." There is a world of difference between the well meaning friend or relative that offers to do your photography either very cheaply or even for free. Is he good at organising people whilst keeping them happy and relaxed? Does he know the style and design of the final photographs that you want and how to acheive it? Does he fully understand how to get the very best out of the prevailing circumstances such as weather, lighting and available time. Will he lose his nerve at the last moment? We get a lot of enquiries from couples who state that their chosen photographer has let them down at the last minute, but in most cases I suspect that they realise that they are taking too big a risk and asking too much of an inexperienced friend of the family to entrust them with such a high pressure and demanding task. Often in these circumstances we are already fully booked but if not, we ease the problem by offering a £100 discount or other help if the wedding is less than a month away.

WHAT EXPERIENCE HAVE YOU HAD? Kenneth has had a love of photography for more than forty years and been involved in wedding, portrait, animal, forensic, scientific, insurance and corporate photography. His greatest love has always been photographing happy people in beautiful locations so in 1998 he started his own wedding and family photography business. The wedding side of the business took a while to build up as people are rightly reluctant to book a wedding photographer who is inexperienced. Then, in 2000 it really took off in a big way, his warm, friendly and fun personality endeared him to nearly all couples to took the trouble to meet him and see the amazing and unique talent he offered. Since then there has been no looking back and he has attended over 400 weddings to date, receiving many wonderful testimonials from his happy couples. He still retains the passion that he had at the beginning of his venture but has learnt a lot along the way and has become so much more skillful and artistic.

WHAT PRE-WEDDING SERVICE DO YOU OFFER? - We start off by meeting up with the couple for an informative and entertaining portfolio viewing, here or at your home if you wish. There are no salesmen to put you under pressure, we just have a very pleasant hour or two in which you see the amazing quality of our work, get to know us and ask as many questions as you wish. You are then free to take as much time as you wish to make your decision without any pestering from us. Only if you are totally confident that we are the photographers that can fulfill your wedding photography dreams, should you book us. Having said that, most of the clients who see our work do book us which means we must be doing things correctly!. Whatever you decide you must be certain! If you do decide to book us you will pay just £50 deposit and will receive our unique wedding photography plan. This enables you to select the photgraphs that are most important to you in advance, in the knowledge that your photographer will know too! Finally we meet up again for a pre-wedding consultation when we get to know each other again, discuss the finer points of your requirements so that we give you perfect wedding photography on your wedding day.

HOW DO WE DECIDE WHICH PACKAGE IS BEST FOR US? - The package you choose is entirely up to you. We can discuss the options but we will never try to persuade you to spend more than you can afford or wish to pay. The difference in price is not reflected in the quality of the final chosen product because everything is designed and created to one quality, the best. You can choose just images on discs, photographs, storybooks or albums and can also incorporate page-turning digital albums and/or an animated TV viewable DVD. We do of course have a set range of our most popular packages but all can be adapted for your individuality. WHAT STYLE OF WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY DO YOU PRACTICE? - There are many 'Styles' of wedding photography but put simply it is whatever style you want, traditional, contemporary or bespoke. There are of course some aspects that should be common to all but are sadly lacking with some wedding photographers. These include, a happy relaxed approach from your photographer, skill and patience in handling people while being assertive yet friendly. This will produce much better photographs than with people who are unhappy or upset with the photographer. Once you have a great collection of images the styling and artistic design of the final photographs to how you like them becomes easier.

HOW IMPORTANT IS THE ACTUAL PHOTOGRAPHER? - We believe that this is one of the forgotten yet most important aspects you should consider before trusting any photographer with your precious wedding photography. You must be able to get on with him/her and to feel comfortable and confident in their presence. You should not be made to feel remotely self concious and should in fact look forward to the photography as much as any other part of the day. We appreciate that a large number of people profess to hate having their photo taken, especially Grooms! It is very gratifying to receive so many comments about making everyone feel relaxed and comfortable throughout the day (See our testimonials page) Don't forget, you will spend more time in the presence of your photographer than any other service provider at your wedding so it is essential that you feel comfortable.

WHAT PHOTOGRAPHS DO YOU ACTUALLY TAKE? - Priority is given to the ones chosen in your wedding photography plan. You and your guests are also encouraged to ask for any other photographs that were not thought of before the day e.g. a photo with a guest who you thought was unable to attend the wedding. We will also take any additional photographs that we think, based on our knowledge and understanding of your wishes, you will love. We also have a range of very amusing "Fun shots" but these are only taken if requested as some clients aren't so keen.

WHAT TIME IS ALLOWED FOR PHOTOGRAPHY? - We start when and where you wish and usually continue up until you go in for the wedding breakfast. There is no limit to the time between these two points or the number of photographs taken. If you wish us to stay right throuh to the first dance or later, there is an add-on package that costs a flat sum of just £100 and includes 25 extra photographs or 4 extra pages in your storybook. Please remember though that good photography takes time so please allow sufficient time between the service and the meal. We are also able to create a slideshow of your original images at the reception for just £100

HOW LONG DO WE HAVE TO WAIT TO SEE OUR PROOFS? - Our promise is to try and get them ready for viewing before you return from your honeymoon. They can be posted online as soon as they are completed and if you are having one of our beautiful page-turning digital albums and/or a DVD, these can be done as well. To date we have never failed to have the photos ready by the time the couple returned. If you are not going away they will be done just as quickly.

WHAT IF WE WANT TO MODIFY ONE OF YOUR PACKAGES? No problem at all! We offer a 'Bespoke' package design service whereby you can make the sightest alteration to an existing package or invent a completely new one. The price of the new package will offer exactly the same excellent value and quality whether it costs more or less than an existing one.

FINALLY, WHEN DO WE HAVE TO PAY? - We have such confidence in our ability to get thing exactly as you wished for, that we do not ask for payment until we deliver your proofs. You can of course pay in advance if you wish, all at once or in installments but that is your choice. We can also offer a three months interest-free payment plan if this will help you.
